Sharad Pawar Hospitalised Again at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, Doctors Issue Health Update
Sharad Pawar has been hospitalised again at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after developing a cough and infection with bronchitis-like symptoms. Doctor Pritit Samdani has shared an update on his condition.
Dr. Pritit Samdani issued an update on Sharad Pawar’s health, stating, “Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital last night. He developed a cough and infection, with symptoms similar to bronchitis. He is undergoing treatment and is currently stable.”
Pawar had recently been discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic Hospital in Pune, where he had been admitted for two days. Following his discharge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called him to enquire about his health.
Vitthal Maniyar, a close friend of Sharad Pawar, had told the media that during their conversation, Prime Minister Modi told Pawar that Supriya Sule was ready and that they were prepared to manage the country. He reportedly advised Pawar not to worry about the country and to focus on taking care of his health.
Sharad Pawar expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the call. Responding to Modi, he reportedly said that with leaders like them taking responsibility, he did not need to worry about the country and urged them to continue their work.
Sharad Pawar has now been admitted to hospital twice in the recent period. He was initially taken to Ruby Hall Clinic Hospital in Pune, where he received treatment before being discharged. His daughter, Supriya Sule, subsequently informed that he had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for further medical examinations.
She also thanked everyone for their concern and good wishes for her father's health.
Sharad Pawar remains one of the prominent political figures in Maharashtra, having devoted a significant part of his life to politics and receiving respect from leaders across political parties.
His political family witnessed a major split when his nephew, Ajit Pawar, separated from him and formed a new party, resulting in a division within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Ajit Pawar has since passed away, and his wife is now managing the party. Reports of a possible merger between the two NCP factions had also emerged, but the proposed merger did not materialise.
With Pawar undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital following his recent admission in Pune, the latest medical update confirms that he remains stable while doctors continue his treatment.
